Welcome aboard! Join us for a memorable, two-hour sail out of Yorktown aboard Schooner Virginia.

Help raise the sails, steer the boat, or simply sit back and relax aboard Virginia as she sails the York River. We take pride in making your sailing experience an enjoyable one. Our captain and crew aboard our 120 foot vessel are engaging and enthusiastic, and ready to share information about our vessel and Chesapeake Bay maritime history.

Tickets are $60 each. Open to persons 5 years and older, feel free to bring non-alcoholic refreshments.

Please note: Tickets are non-refundable unless due to a cancellation by Nauticus. If cancelled by Nauticus, refunds will be processed within 3 business days.

Upon purchase you will receive an email. Please bring a copy of your confirmation email on your mobile device or in print form on your specified date. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure. 

Perfect for anyone new to sailing or rediscovering sailing! Enjoy a two-hour introduction to sailing on the Elizabeth River. Up to three participants will learn from a Sail Nauticus instructor how to harness the wind and navigate the boat in one of our Harbor 20 sailboats. For more details, click here.

Upon purchase you will receive two emails, first email will confirm your purchase, second email will contain your e-ticket.

We will make every attempt to reschedule your experience. However, if you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, changes are subject to a $25 processing fee.

Refunds will be made according to the timeline below:

• Cancellations made more than 4 weeks in advance of the scheduled start date of your sailing experience are entitled to a full refund minus the $25 processing fee.
• Cancellations made less than 4 weeks and more than 1 week in advance of the scheduled start date are entitled to a 50% refund of the program fee minus the $25 processing fee.
• Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance of the scheduled start date are non-refundable.

No refunds or discounts will be made for missed classes, vacation days or dismissal from the program.

The VIP Experience is 90 minutes in length and includes areas only accessible with a guide, including the Captain's Cabin and bridge, as you travel up to the 08 level. The ticket price includes access to all Nauticus & Battleship Wisconsin exhibits for exploration before or after your guided experience.

Please note:
- The experience is not wheelchair or stroller accessible and requires climbing ladders and entering tight spaces.
- Recommended for ages 13 and up.
- Closed toe, comfortable shoes recommended.

Your camper will be enrolled in the U.S. Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification course-the industry's best-taught by our certified instructors. This camp incorporates the following activities: boat orientation and safety overview, on the water sailing instruction, classroom material discussions, and test review. At the end of camp, campers will walk away with a solid understanding of sailing. Upon successful completion of the water practical test and the written test, campers will receive U.S. Basic Keelboat certification!
