Yorktown Sunset Sail Aboard Schooner Virginia Experience Yorktown from the water during a special sunset sail aboard Schooner Virginia. Join us October 9 from 5:00–7:00 PM for a two-hour evening sail and enjoy beautiful fall views as the sun sets.
Guests are welcome to bring their own dinner and bottled beverages to enjoy onboard.
Proceeds from this sail directly support the preservation and operation of Schooner Virginia, helping keep this historic vessel sailing for years to come. Space is limited. There is no rain date.
In the event of inclement weather and cancellation, guests will be contacted and receive a full refund.
Perfect for anyone new to sailing or rediscovering sailing! Enjoy a two-hour introduction to sailing on the Elizabeth River. Up to three participants will learn from a Sail Nauticus instructor how to harness the wind and navigate the boat in one of our Harbor 20 sailboats. For more details, click here.

We will make every attempt to reschedule your experience. However, if you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, changes are subject to a $25 processing fee.
Refunds will be made according to the timeline below:
- Cancellations made more than 4 weeks in advance of the scheduled start date of your sailing experience are entitled to a full refund minus the $25 processing fee.
- Cancellations made less than 4 weeks and more than 1 week in advance of the scheduled start date are entitled to a 50% refund of the program fee minus the $25 processing fee.
- Cancellations made less than 1 week in advance of the scheduled start date are non-refundable.
No refunds or discounts will be made for missed classes, vacation days or dismissal from the program.

Looking to level up the learning?Add on our STEM Challenge experience, available from 11AM–2PM for only $5 per student, for an extended hands-on opportunity that encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking.
Go behind the scenes with the Behind-the-Glass Experience (from 12:00 - 12:30 pm for only $10 per participant) of Nauticus' aquarium for an exclusive look at how our animals are cared for every day. Meet the species that call our aquarium home, learn about their daily care and help our aquarists feed the animals during lunchtime.

Spend the night aboard the battleship in her historic berthing complete with a VIP tour of the ship and Nauticus' exhibits, engaging activities and more. Experience concludes with breakfast in the historic wardroom. This unique experience is perfect for families of all ages.

Step aboard for the VIP Battleship Experience, a 90-minute guided tour that takes you into exclusive areas only accessible with a Nauticus guide — including the Captain’s Cabin, Bridge, and up through the 08 Level.
