EdTalk: Real People, Real Climate, Real Change

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday October 25

6:00 PM  –  7:30 PM

EdTalk's are a free lecture series hosted by Nauticus Educators and feature hosts related to various topics.

Join Nauticus as we explore climate change, its effects on our community, and what Norfolk is doing to prepare. Local experts, Jess Whitehead, from the Institute for Coastal Adaptation & Resilience will discuss the National Climate Assessment and the City of Norfolk’s Chief Resilience Officer will present on local resilience efforts past present, and future. Before the discussion, explore Nauticus’ traveling exhibition, Real People, Real Climate, Real Changes. Through this exhibit, the National Center for Atmospheric Research is sharing what we know about this topic, including stories from across the United States about how people are being affected by climate change impacts such as rising seas, droughts, and severe storms.
